I know...I know...I have not been blogging in forever but every time I think about it something comes up to distract me! Lets see where do I start...
We moved to Birmingham in November into a little rental home that just barely holds all of us and the kids adjusted well to their new school. However the search for the "right" place to live seemed foggy. We have prayed and prayed over this very situation. Eric and I want this move to be our "final" move. We want this house to be the house our babies bring their babies home too but is that what God wants? Is that what His will is? So we put our trust in Him once again and we felt guided to the place we thought we didn't want in the beginning. Isn't it funny how He redirects us and humbles us. What we think we need is not what He knows we need. Anyways...we are building a house in a great neighborhood with a wonderful builder..pics will come soon...if we are LUCKY! Hopefully they won't show up a year late like this!
When we moved we were determined to find a home church quickly and the search for that began to. I have to say..there are so many AMAZING churches here! WOW...which one do you choose...but we went to a Wednesday night service at this one church. Eric and I try not to judge but it is only human nature and we were moving here with the "anti-big-church" mindset. God forgive us! We visited Church of the Highlands and saw a hunger in the people like we have never seen! Eric and I cried the entire service...it was like that moment you have longed for! We both held each other through out the whole service in awe of this amazing group of believers that were so hungry for the things of God. Whatever they had we wanted!
So we walked by the creek of Church of the Highlands for another service or 2 and fell in! We are thrilled for this passion that we have and this romance we have with our God. I am more excited now than ever about what God has in store and am glad to be a part of Church of the Highlands! Ok well that is enough for now..here are some pics of the kids!!! Isn't that what ya'll really want anyways...wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait!!!
I have to mention one more thing...I have an amazing family! Thank You Thank You to Jessica and Joey and their precious little girls Annie (little sassy) and Lily Kate (groceries). They have opened there arms to us and have made the transition to the Ham so easy. Every time we get a opportunity to get together we take it with them. Hopefully we don't run them off...cause they are stuck with them...LOL.
